Autumn Quest 2026
Descent Into the Mystery
Autumn is the season of letting go — when the world turns inward and the veil between the ordinary and the sacred grows thin. The trees release what they no longer need. The light changes. Something in us recognises this as permission to do the same. This quest is an invitation to descend consciously into what is asking to be released, to grieve what is ending, and to discover what remains when the unnecessary has fallen away.

Get in TouchEvery wilderness quest moves through three distinct phases.
One full day and overnight together before the quest begins — working with the four cardinal directions to gather medicine, tend the village heart, and weave the bonds of community that will hold and nourish us in the wild.
Four days and three nights in the wilderness. Ritual, council, storytelling, ceremony, dreamwork, sharing meals and time around the fire, and a solo day fast to facilitate an encounter with the wildness of your soul.
Four weekly post-quest group sessions to weave the experiences, discoveries, insights, and transformative moments of your quest into something lasting.
During the preparation day, we work with each cardinal direction — gathering medicine for our time in the wild and tending the pulse of the emerging village heart.
Dawn. Innocence. The Fool & Sage. Invitation to step courageously into the unknown with wisdom and purpose.
Full Sun. Vitality. Authenticity & Sensuality. The Wild Child. Invitation to reconnect with one's animal nature and the living world.
Sunset. The Shadow & Threshold. Invitation to court your muse — what you love but are afraid to be.
Community. Softness. Regeneration & Nourishment. Invitation to care for oneself, others, and the living world.
The following practices are woven throughout the quest as ways of making contact — with the land, with the deeper self, and with what lies beyond ordinary awareness.
Tracking and working with dreams as living messages from the deeper self. We court the dreammaker before sleep and bring what arrives into the light of day.
Gathering around the fire to mark severance, to feed the holy, and to burn what is ready to be released. Fire as witness, as portal, as ancestor.
Moving through the wild without agenda — letting the land lead. Wanders open the senses and invite spontaneous encounter with the living world.
Speaking and listening from the heart in circle — a way of being witnessed and of witnessing others with full presence.
A day alone in nature — the primary vessel of threshold ritual. In the silence and the solitude, the ordinary self grows quiet, and something deeper stirs. The conditions are created for the flowering of the soul.
Giving shape to inner experience through narrative — using myth, personal story, and the stories the land itself carries to locate ourselves in the larger web of life.
Moving the body as a way of moving what is stuck. Dance, gesture, and expressive movement as gateways to what words cannot reach.
Returning again and again to a single place — building a relationship with a tree, stream, or stone as a way of deepening presence and belonging.
Bringing offerings to the land, to the directions, and to what we love — tending the reciprocity of life with intention.
“The tools Sam provided, along with the spaciousness and freedom of the experience, showed me how powerfully nature can mirror our inner world. Sam is an incredible guide — he shares his love for the natural world in such an authentic and grounded way, and his dedication to helping participants explore themselves is truly remarkable.”
“With Sam’s guidance, I was invited to approach and look at my world — the inner one and the outer — through a lens I had never looked through before. And to my surprise, the experience was very clear and precise.”
